Anaerobic Adhesives

Anaerobic adhesives – for thread locking and sealing applications

Anaerobic adhesives are single-component industrial adhesives that cure only when air is excluded from the joint and the adhesive comes into contact with metal surfaces. Due to this property, they are one of the most reliable solutions for thread locking, bearing retention and flange sealing.

Anaerobic adhesives are widely used in automotive industry, manufacturing, maintenance and agricultural machinery, where a stable, leak-proof and vibration-resistant connection is required.

Applications

• Thread locking (bolts, nuts) – prevents loosening due to vibration
• Bearing and bushing retention – ensures strong bonding and prevents movement
• Flange sealing – prevents fluid leakage and protects against corrosion
• Sealing of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Industrial repair and maintenance work

Key advantages

• Cures without air – ensures full contact with metal surfaces
• Chemical resistance – resistant to oils, fuels and industrial fluids
• Vibration resistance – prevents loosening of joints
• Sealing and anti-corrosion properties – creates durable and leak-proof joints
• Wide temperature range – typically from -55 °C to +150 °C
• Strength options available – from removable to permanent bonding

Usage

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease. Before application, remove old adhesive residues, rust and contaminants. Apply the adhesive to the thread or contact surface, assemble the parts and tighten. The adhesive cures when air is excluded from the joint.

For porous surfaces or less active metals, the use of an activator is recommended.

Storage guidelines

• Store in original tightly closed container
• Recommended temperature: +8 °C to +21 °C
• Avoid temperatures above +28 °C
• Protect from direct sunlight
• Do not return used product back into the container
• Avoid contamination with metal particles
