High loads and challenging lubrication conditions can shorten bearing service life and lead to unplanned equipment downtime. NSK ECA spherical roller bearings feature an optimized internal design intended to increase load capacity and bearing fatigue life.
What distinguishes the ECA design?
A roller-guided machined brass cage eliminates the need for a central guide ring. The resulting space accommodates more rollers of a larger size. NSK also specifies a controlled raceway surface finish that improves lubrication characteristics and wear resistance.
The bearing design has dimensional stability up to 200°C. Suitability for operation at a particular temperature must also be assessed against the lubricant, load, speed and other application conditions.
Which additional options are available?
For demanding applications, NSK offers Super-TF steel and DLC-coated roller options. Their suitability depends on the operating conditions of the equipment.
